WHERE: Leven House, Hutton Bank, Hutton Rudby TS15 0EU
TIMINGS: 1st October 10.00am - 4.00pm
WHO IS THE COURSE SUITABLE FOR?
Anyone wanting to be inspired, learn new techniques and update their skills. It is aimed at those wanting to learn about sustainable floristry. You do not need to have experience in creating large scale installations to complete this workshop.
COST: £345
Join me on this one day course to upskill and upscale your floristry. On this course I will show you the techniques and mechanics so that you can create large, 'vava voom' foam free installations. Using an abundance of the best late September early October British flowers and foliage I will share my knowledge and experience to help you create sustainable flower designs that you will be proud of. Whatever your experience, you will definitely learn new skills, tips and tricks and leave feeling confident.
I will explain the techniques as well as talking you through the importance of selecting appropriate and suitable flowers. By using particular flowers, foliage and plants your designs will have movement, interest and pack a punch. We will talk through the many possible design options for these large installations and plan your vision.
I will share the importance of using the right vessels and the safe mechanics in order for you to maximise your design and enhance the way your flowers look.
Whilst on this course we will use iron uprights. The techniques I teach can be transferred between these Moongates etc and used for any type of installation, i.e. arches, columns and doorways.
I want you to walk away confident and ready to tackle any large scale work using sustainable methods.
THE DETAILS:
The Flowers - I will source the best British seasonal flowers and foliage (assuming this is possible of course - British weather dependent) from local growers as well as importing some flowers to supplement the British flowers.
Lunch will be provided.
During the course, there will be time to talk about any individual projects that you may have coming up. I will also discuss some of the positives of Instagram and Pinterest and how you can make sure you are maximising their use when reaching your ideal clients. I will also address any individual technical questions you may have; logistics, design, ask me anything.
I'm here to help!
There will also be time to style your work and have photos taken in order to get some good images for your portfolio.
(Depending on the size of the arrangement and the time taken to complete, you will be working in groups of either 2 - 4 people.)
Prior to booking please read my 'Payments, Cancellations & Refund Policy'.
A deposit of £100 is required to secure a place on the 'Sustainable Floristry - Free Sanding Floral Pillars & Hanging Installation' Workshop.
